Created in Japan in 1986, Sudoku has gained major popularity as a brain teaser game. Help your child develop logic and critical thinking skills with this fun and cute kid’s version of the game, Sudoku Junior! Our Sudoku for kids 4×4 worksheets are printable and free!

How to play:

Cut out the game pieces at the bottom of the page and make a couple of copies so that you have enough pieces.

Place the game pieces in the empty squares.

In each vertical and horizontal line there should be only one of each item or number; for example if the top left square contains the number 1 then there will not be a number 1 in any boxes in the line extending down or to its right.

Once all of the boxes are filled with the game pieces, verify that there are no doubles in any row or column. If there are no doubles then you have mastered that puzzle layout!
