If you have not yet tried Part A, then we suggest download Telling time the “Smart Way” Part A first! This worksheet continues to work done on Part A with telling time the smart way.

Now, this worksheet assesses your child’s ability to determine time to the closest hour when describing with words. For example, if the time is 5:50, then your little learner must understand that this time is closer to 6:00 than 5:00, and therefore the “Smart Way” of describing this time is to say, “Ten minutes until six” or “Ten minutes to six.”

Encourage your student to practice describing time in this manner, and be sure to check our answer key!
