Reluctant writers often need motivation and interest to write. Do you have a reluctant writer? Are they at all interested in dogs? Help your unmotivated little learner write a detailed explanatory piece with this sentence starter, “I love dogs because…”
If you find that your student is not detailed enough, then remember to prompt them with the five W’s: who, what, when, where, and why? Encourage your child to write as much detail as possible to ensure that your child meets the state standards!
