Teach your students about the Day of the Dead, or Dia De Los Muertos, in style and fun with these free downloads! Your little ones can color in their own sugar skull, or enjoy a free colorful and printable sugar skull.

South American cultures celebrate the Day of the Dead from October 31st to November 2nd. It is believed that deceased ancestors descend from heaven onto Earth on the thirty-first, and they stay to visit their families until the second of November, when they make their journey back to the after life.

Families spend great time and money to prepare for their deceased ancestors’ arrival. Fantastic food, dazzling decorations, and other fun festivities are planned weeks in advance, and the sugar skull decorations help add to the fun and vibrancy of the holiday!

Create your own sugar skull advanced coloring page, or enjoy an already colored in, free printable sugar skull!

Your students are sure to remember about the Day of the Dead, or Dia De Los Muertos, if you introduce it to them with such fun and engaging activities.
