Some interesting geographical facts…

* Argentina has three Nobel Prize recipients in the Sciences, Bernardo Houssay, César Milstein and Luis Leloir.

* Bolivia is the world’s largest cultivator of coca, with an estimated 24,400 hectares under cultivation in June 2002.

*  The term Venezuela literally means ‘Little Venice’. The country was so named by its explorers, who saw houses built on stilts in a lake here, reminding them of Venice.

* Guyana hosted international cricket matches as part of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
